There's something uniquely exciting about the drilling phase of any energy project. For our team, this is where the vision begins to take real shape.
Every metre drilled represents more than progress toward a facility; it represents progress toward a new way of producing the molecules the world depends on. As we complete the first-ever Enhanced Hydrogen Recovery™ (EHR™) panel, we're laying the foundation for a technology platform designed to unlock low-carbon hydrogen and the feedstocks needed for sustainable fuels, chemicals, and proteins with a dramatically smaller environmental footprint. This is more than another drilling program. It is the first step in bringing to life a technology with the potential to reshape how clean hydrogen and carbon-based products are produced. Success here in Alberta will provide a blueprint for deploying EHR™ in coal resources around the world.
Watching the first wells come together, it's impossible not to feel the excitement of what lies ahead. The next few months will bring the completion of our first EHR™ panel, followed by underground gasification and, ultimately, the production of hydrogen-rich synthesis gas that will power the next generation of low-carbon products. We're not simply drilling wells—we're helping build the foundation for a new pathway to industrial decarbonization.
